Hmm so I decided to write again!! I guess this is the only I can actually vent my feelings.

Well what does being Indian mean. How do you really show your true patriotism towards a country from where you hold your passport for but have lived in other places rather than that place !! For me I guess I have lived more of my life in Kuwait than any other place!!

It does not mean I am Kuwaiti !! I never will be !! I love India and Orissa and a lot of things about everything in Orissa !! People ask me so many things about Orissa and I am sure I can match it word to word for what they know!!! However in recent times I feel more of an outsider than ever!! especially since I have been so busy with work and such and also with work being in Kuwait (again ) I feel that I need a break to get connected with my roots again !!

I need to again travel in the wild with just myself. Why am I talking about this … cos some idiot told me today how would you know about Orissa when u haven’t lived there enough!!! And the worst thing is my wife also agreed!! I am not angry though I was!!! They will never understand!! They will never understand how it feels to be the outsider !! How when u know so much about where they have lived and yet you are told that you haven’t lived enough in the country or state to know “the true feel “ about it !! They will never understand that you might actually have much bigger plans than they do about their own state !! That eventually you are more connected than they ever will be …… But yes they will also be right in one thing being the fact that you haven’t lived enough time there !!!

That proves shit !! The time I have lived there is the time I love and cherish!! The cold morning with chai in Bhubaneswar to the hot sultry afternoons below the fan !! The lake swims in the rain to the smoking beedis at the railway station with the rickshaw waala. The island on Chilaka!!:P YES YES !! I love Orissa and now after this rant I feel that I don’t have to prove it to anyone of how much I know or love my state !! Maybe I haven’t lived there enough but the time I have lived there I am sure I have earned of being a pakhal loving Oriya > I don’t have to prove anything !!!
